Episode 66- The Key Lessons Learned From Niching Down and Creating Offers That Convert

Hey and in this week’s podcast, we dive into the first segment of our Lessons Learned Mini Series!


And this podcast is all about the lessons that we learned when defining our niche and our offer.


So - to summarise:

  • Just get started! If you don’t start, it is guaranteed that you won’t make any progress.
  • If it feels like work, then it isn’t your niche
  • If it feels like you are pushing water up a hill, then look at marketplace demand.
  • If you don’t know how to get leads, don’t judge your niche, you are judging the wrong thing.
  • Don’t blame the effects on the wrong cause - eg blaming I’m not getting enough sales’ on your sales call process - there are many steps to look at before this point!
  • Don’t confuse your niche and your offer
  • Your offer will evolve over time
  • Your offer must be a no-brainer in a market where the level of market sophistication is high.
  • You must know the key players in your industry and what their offers and pricepoints are.
  • What can you include in your offer that makes your offer worth 10X the value of theirs?
  • You must know the objections of your industry guru audience and then create your offer in a way that provides the solution to those objections.
  • Add bonuses that truly make your offer irresistible.
  • Don’t create an offer that is counter to the life you want to live - eg 1:1 coaching v wanting freedom
  • Don’t create bonuses that you don’t have capacity to deliver on
  • Remember the cost of delivery, including your time and your team and software costs - leaving margins too tight means that it is tougher to scale.
